Homer softball wins



The host Homer softball team defeated Kodiak 8-0 on Thursday in Northern Lights Conference action.

The Mariners are now 7-0 in the Northern Lights Conference. Homer completes conference play on Saturday in Soldotna, where the Mariners play at 2 p.m. The Stars have just one loss in conference. That loss came to Homer.

Zoe Fogg and Kathleen McNary combined on the four-hit shutout for the Mariners.

Alecia Stafford and Fogg each had two hits to pace Homer's eight-hit attack. Lauren Cashman scored two runs.
